Having opened in 2020, The Arc Thrift Store is the new kid on the block when it comes to Grand Junction Thrift stores. However its massive size, quantity of inventory and frequent sales have quickly made it a popular addition to the list of resale/thrift stores in the area.

Arc Thrift Store Grand Junction

The store is located in what used to be a City Market grocery store at the Eastgate Shopping Center on the east end of North Avenue, next to the old Star Tek building and just down from Rib City. According to an article in the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel, the store has 27,000 square feet of space, which makes it the largest of the six thrift stores in Grand Junction, exceeding that of the big, popular Grand Junction Goodwill store on the western end of town.

(The black star is the only Arc Thrift store on the Western Slope).

There’s plenty of parking out front of this less-than-full strip mall. Once you enter Arc, you’ll see cashiers and dressing rooms on your left and the spacious sales floor with countless racks of women’s clothing right in front of you.

Area’s are labeled “Ladies” and “Men’s”, “Books” etc. for easy searching.

There are different colored tag sales depending on the day of the week. For example on a Thursday, they may have the items with blue tags at 50% off.

Either way, they advertise that on Saturday, everything is 50% off. My friend Todd mastered the art of knowing when inventory arrived and getting there early on Saturdays. He picked up some expensive golf shoes there that seemed to be in pretty good shape, and at a much better price than the new ones I ordered on Amazon.

Senior Day at Arc Thrift Store

Tuesday is the store’s designated “Senior Day”, where those 55 and older can receive 50% off.

As you can see from the photos, this is a big store, and you could spend half the day here. Electronics and some outdoor items on in the righthand back corner. There were several pairs of skis there on a recent visit.

You’ll find a couple of aisles of ceramics (dishes, mugs, plates and decorative items). Elsewhere there are everything from numerous tables and chairs to mattresses, sleeping bags, stuffed animals and more. Arc’s DVD and VHS section is particularly large compared to other stores in Grand Junction.
